Berkshire junior Whitney Davis has been named First Team All-Ohio by the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association, becoming the first Badger softball player to earn First Team All-Ohio honors since Britney Reynolds in 2008.
The honor is a testament to one of the most productive seasons and careers in Berkshire softball history.
Davis helped lead the Badgers to a share of the Chagrin Valley Conference Valley Division championship and a second consecutive conference title while posting outstanding numbers across the board. She batted .690 on the season, collecting 58 hits in 84 at-bats. Her 58 hits included nine doubles, two triples, and four home runs. She scored 51 runs, drove in 19 runs, and stole 56 bases.
In addition to her offensive production, Davis was a standout defensively, finishing the season with a .967 fielding percentage.
Her 2026 season added to an already historic career. Through her junior year, Davis owns several Berkshire softball records, including:
  • Career hits: 155
  • Career runs scored: 128
  • Career stolen bases: 136
  • Single-season hits: 60 (2024)
  • Single-season runs scored: 51 (2024 & 2026)
  • Single-season stolen bases: 56 (2026)
Davis becomes Berkshire's first softball All-Ohio selection since Shannon McGee earned Second Team All-Ohio honors in 2016 and the program's first First Team All-Ohio honoree in 18 years.
With one season still remaining in her Berkshire career, Davis has already established herself among the most accomplished players in program history. Her combination of consistency at the plate, base running instincts, and defensive play helped make her one of the top players in Ohio this season and earned her a well-deserved place on the state's First Team All-Ohio squad.
